The Greenberg Families Library (GFL) has been working hard to make the collection as inclusive and accessible as possible and is so excited to announce that Libby is now available to Soloway JCC and Greenberg Families Library members! 

 

Libby is a free app that allows readers to enjoy ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from the library. Gone are the days of being limited to opening hours or rushing to return books on time. With Libby, users can access the GFL’s extensive collection of eBooks and audiobooks from the comfort of their own devices, 24/7, and easily stream or download their reading material. Whether it's a bestseller, a classic Jewish novel, or a niche non-fiction title, the virtual shelves of the Greenberg Families library are just a tap away. As long as there is a Jewish connection in the book, a character or theme in the plot, it will be available.

 

As the enthusiastic librarian spearheading the digital transition, I know it will help our users connect with more titles and increase library usage. Additionally, Libby allows us to grow our collection beyond physical books on a shelf. Since space is always a challenge, Libby enables the GFL to maintain a more diverse collection for longer. In addition, members can request books be added to the collection.  

 

Libby at the GFL is also more accessible and offers important features such as adjustable text size, dyslexic font options, and compatibility with screen readers, ensuring that everyone can participate in the joys of reading regardless of physical barriers.

 

For members who prefer to listen on the go, the digital audiobook selection provides the perfect solution. Commuters, fitness enthusiasts, or anyone who loves to multitask can immerse themselves in captivating stories narrated by talented voices, enhancing their joy of reading while connecting with their favourite Jewish authors and content.
